Short biography

I'm a researcher with the Networking and Telecommunications Research team of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana - Iztapalapa in Mexico City. I was born in August 1971 in Mexico. In 1995, I got an Electronics and Communications Engineering degree from the Metropolitan Autonomous University in Mexico City. In September 2000, I got a DEA degree (the French equivalent of the Master degree) on Networks and Distributed Systems (now Master of Science in Ubiquitous Networking and Computing) and in December 2004 I got a PhD in Computer Science, both from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France.

My main research interests are on anticollision protocols for RFID systems, RFID tag identification, broadcast protocols for VANETs, and adaptive streaming over HTTP.

I serve or have served as a reviewer for several international conferences and journals. Some of them are: IEEE Infocom, IEEE Globecom, IEEE JSAC, IEEE/ACM ToN, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, IEEE Sensors, Remote Sensing, Sensors, Computer Communications, Mathematical Problems in Engineering, EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, Mobile Networks and Applications, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IET Communications Journal, and some others.
